Year Six visited the University Technical College in Norwich on Friday 10th July.
On arrival, we were watched a video all about engineering and its application in everyday life. We were split into two groups and went off to take part in science and engineering tasks.
The first activity involved an F1 in schools challenge. The groups were given a model which they had to reproduce and then add their own wheels and axles. After decoration, each model had a rocket added and then the racing began!
The second activity was in the science laboratory. Children used acids and alkalis and created their own indicators. They learnt about the pH scale and where everyday objects sit on it. Lots of fun was had!
At the end of the day prizes were given for the fastest teams and the best team of scientists.
The videos below show some of the races which took place!
