Wayland Junior Academy Watton became the first primary school to join the TEN Group on the 1st April 2014. This is an exciting development for the school, the Watton community and for the federation as a whole, as it means there is now a TEN Group progression pathway from Key Stage 2 right through to degree level. Prior to this Watton Junior School had already been working closely with neighbouring Wayland Academy Norfolk to support pupils’ progression into Key Stage 3, supported by the considerable experience and expertise across curriculum areas and across phases within the TEN Group.
Wayland Junior Academy Watton is firmly committed to ensuring that all children have the opportunity to fulfil their potential. The Academy is one in which pupils are provided with a safe, supportive and inspiring educational experience, where they are enabled to progress academically, socially and morally, and given the skills, knowledge and understanding needed to pursue their dreams and ambitions. The Academy has strong links with its local community and staff, pupils, parents, governors and members of the wider community all play a vital role in the development and progression.
