Aylmerton Residential

Year 5 children went on a three day residential to Aylmerton Field Study Centre when they returned from their Easter break. This introduction to their new topic on 'Coasts' gave them hands on experience of the North Norfolk coast.

Their time away was filled with visits to Happisburgh and Sea Palling to see the sea defences; a boat ride to Blakeney Point Spit to view the seals; a walk through the mud flats at Blakeney to view the spit; a visit to Cromer museum and a climb up the 170 steps of the Cromer church tower.

Pupils loved the time away and returned to school tired and slightly muddy but ready to learn more about the North Norfolk coast.
